Let’s talk about the easiest, flakiest, most addictive little pastries you’ll ever whip up. These cinnamon sugar pinwheels are buttery, golden, and swirled with sweet spice—and the powdered sugar icing? Chef’s kiss. Perfect for brunch, dessert, or just because it’s Sunday!

What You’ll Need:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 4 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tbsp water
For the icing:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk or water (milk for a creamier, more rich flavor)
- 1 tsp of vanilla
🔥 How to Make Them:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Roll out your puff pastry and brush it with melted butter.
- Mix sugar + cinnamon, then sprinkle generously over the pastry. For an extra crunch, you can add chopped pecans during this step.
- Roll it up tightly like a jelly roll. Slice into 1/2-inch rounds.
- Place on baking sheet, spaced out, and lightly brush with the egg wash (whisk 1 egg and 1/2 tbsp of water together).
- Bake for 15 mins until puffed and golden.
- While they cool, whisk together icing ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over warm pinwheels. Try not to eat them all at once.
For the Icing:
- In a small mixing bowl combine the powdered sugar and vanilla. Add the milk or water and whisk together until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Using a small spoon drizzle the icing over the warm pinwheels.
